So many songs have spoken to me over the years. It's hard to find just that one song.

I'll leave this one here that really helped me through the hardest and loneliest time in my life.

My mother was killed by a drunk driver when I was 15 and I missed her voice telling me to "don't give up" when time got hard.

This song frames my mother's free so well. The video is a simple, but great production expressing the essence of the song.

Wait, what! Why did this end so quickly! I could have read this on and on!

At times we think of this world, our existence as a singular phenomenon, where we exist on our own, all by ourselves. And its moments, events, like this that tell us that even though we might exist in our own parallel universes, the only way to trust that its all somehow magically connected, affecting, influencing each other with our tiniest but mightiest ramblings and wishes of the heart is witnessing it all come real, witnessing it manifest.

Perhaps the tldr version of How to get rich without getting lucky is manifesting it or as naval puts it, “You can get almost anything you want out of life, as long as it’s one thing and you want it far more than anything else.” This whole event is that precise feeling actualized.

Reading this was akin to running out of breath, the one that leaves you positively high.

Thank you for sharing this Surbhi.

P.s.

Loved how you made it all happen, and that you went with your grandpa! So wholesome!
